The ICD10 is an international classification for the diagnosis of diseases. The German version (ICD10SGBV) is used as the key for specifying diagnoses. Above all, this facilitates billing with the health insurance company.
While reading the diagnosis on a certificate of incapacity for work, I too was amazed when, instead of the usual "technical jargon", a letter suddenly appeared in connection with a number.
